I just don’t have time to lose weight!

I must get this call and this statement from busy moms, executives, students, all the time “I just don’t have time to eat right and exercise!” No one seems to be able to find the time to lose weight. With all of the responsibilities and events packed into our busy days how are we to keep ourselves healthy and maintain an optimal weight?

When people think weight loss, they think diet and exercise, both of which already sound time consuming. Well after 10 years of seeing clients I will tell you with 100% certainty that if a client follows their nutrition plan without exercise they always lose weight but if they don’t follow their nutrition plan but are consistent with their workouts, there is no weight loss. Anyone who has ever attempted to lose weight without changing to healthier eating alternatives knows this is true. Trust me, I’ll be the first one to tell you all the reasons why exercise is so important but following a healthy eating regimen must be priority number 1!

So if nothing else, the following easy adjustments in your nutrition plan will help to take off, at the very least, an initial 5-10 lbs to get you well on your way to your health and weight loss goals:

1. Only drink water as your beverage (with the occasional unsweetened tea or black coffee). Eliminating all sugar drinks, “diet” drinks and sodas will automatically cause a dramatic weight loss. Studies have shown, when all else is kept constant, people lose up to 10lbs just by giving up diet coke. But it has no calories you say? Equal (Aspartame) and all other artificial sweeteners like Splenda and Sweet and Low are toxins to your body and cause weight gain, even more so than sugar!

Squeeze fresh lemon in your water or make flavored herbal teas and cool them to make ice tea to make water drinking much easier. Always consume ½ of your body weight in ounces of water per day to experience adequate hydration and weight loss (ex. If you weigh 150lbs, you must drink 75 ounces of water each day).

2. Eliminate the 4 white devils : White Flour, Refined Salt, White Sugar, and Dairy. If you just stay away from these 4 things, you will automatically see a drastic drop in weight and will instantly feel more energetic throughout the day. Most people are well aware of the harmful effects of flour, refined salt and sugar but dairy? Doesn’t it do a body good? Definitely not! Dairy is one of the number 1 reasons people have such a hard time losing weight. It causes inflammation in the body, digestive problems, clogged arteries, and weight gain. Get your calcium from leafy greens and avoid dairy at all costs. When moms bring in their children to see me with weight and health problems one of the first things I do is take them off dairy. The results are miraculous! Chronically sick kids are now automatically better. And those who have had such a hard time losing weight experience automatic weight loss without dairy.

3. Know exactly where to find the healthy food! It is honestly just as easy to run in to Kings and get a bag of carrots and some almonds than it is to run into Quick Chek and buy some harmful processed food. You can go absolutely anywhere now and find healthy meal options but you must know what you are looking for. Stay away from most packaged foods as the label indicates more of a science experiment than anything that would be close to food. No one needs all of those toxins in their body. Labels should have 2 – 3 items, at most. And the best foods don’t have labels.

Don’t let time be your excuse. If you stop to eat 2-3 times per day and snack in between it is just as easy to find something healthy as it is to find something harmful. Don’t let your body come to a shrieking halt before you decide to do anything about your weight and your health. You know what will be a huge impediment on your time? If you or a family member becomes ill due to poor nutrition and lifestyle habits. So tackle the problem now before it really does begin to affect your time and your life! You can replace cars, homes and all material items, but you only get one body! Take good care of it.

Power meals is the term I came up for a particular meal structure that if eaten at specified times during the day can boost your body,s ability to Gain Weight.

A power meal is basically a meal which comprises of a quick digesting source of protein and particular energy foods which also digest quickly and help to increase blood glycogen levels as fast as possible.

An example of this would be a quality whey protein powder blended with certain fruits.

Power meals are for these specified times only. Too many power meals will compromise building lean muscle by increasing fat gain and lowering your sensitivity to insulin.



Gain Weight Tip-7: Eat Foods Your Body Requires For Optimal Growth Hormone Production and Health.

The short answer is: diet & exercise.



I'm sorry to tell you there is no shortcut to losing weight in your thighs. This question is much like the question: "How can I flatten my belly?" Some people hold onto fat longest in their midsection and others hold onto it longest in their thighs. If you are one who holds onto weight in the thighs the only answer to losing that weight is to go on a sensible diet. If you want to lose the fat faster (and increase your metabolism) you will also exercise. Both cardio & strength training are recommended.



What Not To Do



Don't go on a starvation low calorie diet. This will backfire. Your body will go into "starvation mode" and you will only lose muscle (not fat) and worst of all when you go off the diet you will simply gain back all of the weight you lost except that it will come back as fat and not muscle! Never go on a diet that requires you to eat fewer than 1500 calories a day. Low calorie diets are a very old idea that has long since been improved upon.



The Right Diet For Thigh Slimming



The right diet to slim down the fat in your thighs is one which is designed to turbo charge fat loss instead of muscle loss. You need a diet that doesn't emphasize eating less but instead emphasizes eating the right things. It is also recommended that you choose a diet which allows for a weekly "day off" this will help by keeping your body from going into starvation mode. It will also help mentally by allowing you to satisfy the junk food cravings that often knock people off course with other diets.

The Truth About Losing Fat On Your Gut by Jim Mack



This common problem is accompanied by a widespread belief that you can lose the fat on a "mess area" by exercising that particular area. Some people do hundreds of crunches in attempts to flatten their stomachs, others buy the "miracle" ab gadgets and bulky "hip slimming" machines from TV.

Do you know anybody who does not wish to get rid of the fat on one particular area of their body? I have not met anybody like that!

"If I could only get rid of my big gut"! "Oh, I wish my thighs were slimmer"! Does it sound familiar?

Even skinny people are often unhappy with the excess fat in some areas of their body. We've all seen those skinny men with huge bellies!

Were you about to call the 800 number to buy the "latest and greatest" ab roller?

Hold on to your hard-earned moolah!

The belief that you can lose fat on a specific part of your body by exercising that area is a myth! Targeting the "spots" of your body for fat loss is called "spot reducing", and it simply does not have effect.

Exercising certain areas of your body will shore up the muscles there, but it will not remove the fat from them. Your newly developed muscles will be hidden under the layer of fat.

What about those heavily pitched creams, wraps and rubber belts that supposedly "melt the fat away"? Those are just plainly scams.

The creams and body wraps can temporarily dispense your skin smoother appearance, but they will do absolutely nothing for fat loss. All kinds of weight loss belts, pants and other clothing will make you sweat, thereby causing some loss of water weight which is mistaken by most people for fat loss. But they will not help you lose even one gram of the actual fat!

There is no way to tell your body where exactly it should lose its fat.

The only healthy everlasting way to lose weight is by making lifestyle changes to incorporate healthy eating and increased activity. When you do that, the fat will come off everywhere on your body, including those "trouble spots". And yes, you will then have that body that you always dreamed of!

Each person's body has its own unique figuration and fat distribution pattern. The places where the fat goes first are, unfortunately, where it comes off last. So the only way to lose that fat is by losing weight in general.

There must be some reason why some people can lose weight faster than others. Of course there are a couple of factors to be considered like age and body type. But if all are equal, what is that one thing that is blocking some individuals from losing belly fat and preventing from getting a flat stomach. I have seen lots of people successfully lose weight and many that have invested years and money in gym membership but they get nowhere. Moving into the third month of following the law of weight loss, their confidence will be boosted. Why? This is because they are in the phase where by visible effects will take place like their stomach gets flatter. They will receive many compliments from friends and family. The way they dress will change and will get some glances of admiration from other people.

Their confidence will be further boosted when they here their friends say "Hi Mary! My gosh! you look so different! You have really slimmed down a lot and your skin look so healthy!"

Sometimes I am really sick and tired of people that I really want to help but the only response I get is "I want to lose 10 kilograms. I can only workout Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. I don't want to diet and don't ask me to cut down on my alcohol because I want to have a life." In my mind, I am thinking what life! An unhealthy and overweight life that you came here looking for me to help you change it in the first place?

It is just unfortunate that some people do not want to commit to something but yet wanted something else so bad. Yeah, they will pay the gym fees that cost them perhaps thousand over dollars a year and personal training that cost them even more but this something money cant buy.

But little did they not know, even after being repeated bombarded into their head, they cannot lose weight if they do not want to follow the law of weight loss. They will look and feel the same even after years.

Their friends and family will say "Mary, what have you been up to lately? Your are not here every Tuesday and Thursday for happy hour."

"Oh, I have been going to the gym regularly." Said Mary.

"Oh! That figures. Are you trying to put on weight? You look bigger. It is really working for you."

This is another common mistake that people that do not follow the law of weight loss fall into. A lot of them eat much more after exercising because they thought they have burned so many calories. This makes them fatter!

Most of the time, those who refuse to follow the law of weight loss will just remain the same. They will not be able to lose their belly fat and get a flat stomach. They wont feel healthier, they wont lighter and their weight remains the same. Their waistline remains the same and the way they dress remains the same. Everything is just the same except that they have wasted so much time and money. Their hope crashes and burned.

They will start to thing exercising cannot help them lose weight. Some will resort to surgical methods but after spending tens of thousand of dollars, they will remain the same because the law of weight loss is a must to help them maintain their weight loss.
